Of course, there are many more at various schools throughout the district, so if you are interested in supporting a specific scholarship, please just indicate the name of the scholarship when making your
gift.
Every year generous individuals in our community start new scholarships through the Foundation to help students graduating from schools within the Alpine School District. There are many ways that these scholarships can be designed to support students, honor a family legacy or that of a loved one, and to provide tax-deductible giving opportunities that promote higher education.
Please contact Tyler Vigue (
[email protected] or 801-610-8425) if you are interested in establishing a scholarship.
When donors set up scholarships through the Alpine School District Foundation, the awards are made based on mutually agreed upon criteria and involve selection committees made up of School and/or District personnel. Donors can support the scholarship with gifts that are eligible for tax deductibility.
When awards are made, the Foundation sets the money into a unique account for each recipient and holds the funds until the student is enrolled in school (up to five years after the student graduates from an ASD high school). Once the student provides evidence of their enrollment, the Foundation sends the scholarship funds directly to the school where the student is enrolled.
If you are a former ASD student who received one or more scholarships and you are now enrolled in school and ready to claim your scholarship, please provide an official Verification of Enrollment notice to the Alpine School District Foundation and, if available, any documentation you received from the school that awarded you the scholarship. Please request funds early as it may take up to a month from the time that a verification of enrollment is received until the school receives and processes the check.
