Matching School Grants

The Alpine School District Foundation is pleased to open an opportunity for schools to apply for a Matching School Grant.

The Matching School Grants program is only available to principals who need some matching money to support school-wide initiatives for which there has been active fundraising*. The intention is to help finish projects that principals had hoped to complete with fundraising (i.e. the annual school fundraiser), but for which they still need some additional funds.

*Schools who anticipate conducting fundraising in the coming months and hope to be considered for a matching grant may submit a provisional application.

Grant Guidelines:

  • Principals are the only ones authorized to submit a request for a Matching School Grant.
  • Applications received by February 23, 2025, will have priority and be considered for immediate support or put in a queue for provisional consideration upon completion of anticipated fundraising. Late applications may also be permitted, but funding is limited.
  • Each request needs to be tied to some community support/school fundraiser that has transpired (provisional requests will be considered after the fundraising has transpired).
  • The request needs to include a specific proposal (i.e. bid) where the raised funds are not yet sufficient.
  • The school clearly does not yet have sufficient undesignated/school-wide Foundation funds available to cover the cost of the proposal.
  • The request should tie directly to filling the gap between available funds and the proposal.
  • The Foundation will review applications and notify applicants within a few weeks from the time that applications are marked as complete.
  • Awarded funds would be transferred into the respective school undesignated accounts for use in accordance with submitted applications.
  • Please provide any relevant supporting documentation, including bids where appropriate.
