STARS Reading Program

Stars Reading Program

STARS is a proven program that provides students finishing kindergarten and first grade, whose skills are below average, with a 20-day, intensive training in Balanced Literacy and Reading Recovery.

STARS Golf Tournament

STARS Reading Program

The Swing for the STARS golf tournament supports the Alpine School District STARS Summer Reading program, serving more than 350 kindergarten and first grade students each year. STARS gives the gift of literacy by intervening early with struggling readers to ensure future academic success.

Books for Kids

Books for Kids

Kids who need additional help with literacy and learning to love reading can get access to books specifically tailored to help them make the next jump in their learning.

SIMS

SIMS Program

SIMS - Summer Initiative to Motivate Students. A three week summer program for 6th graders going into 7th grade needing extra help in reading and math.

We partner with Kids Cause and other resources throughout our community to make sure that if a child needs shoes for gym, a coat for winter, or a basic need that their family has unfortunately not been able to provide then we get it for them.

Caring at Christmas helps to ensure students in need obtain basic clothing, shoes, winter gear and other needs during the holiday season.
